Favinia La Muciara IGT Terre Siciliane
€25,00 VAT included
Favinia La Muciara comes from the native grapes of Grillo, Catarratto and Zibibbo grown in the Calamoni vineyard on the island of Favignana. It is a wine that reflects the soul of this unique and extreme territory. In fact, the grapes are grown on the same sea level, only 10 meters away from the vineyard which rests on layers of Quaternary biocalcarenite, stratified over the centuries according to sedimentation rates of about half a meter. Among the agronomic practices of Calamoni, Firriato uses posidonia as a natural fertilizer for the vineyard. The wind carries the dried leaves of this marine plant from the sea which give the vines their nutritional components. The Mediterranean breeze also creates a marine aerosol action that gives the wine a distinctive brackish note wrapped in elegant aromatic notes.
